# Giant Mutated Rat Beneath Bastion ## Known Facts - The creature is an enormous rat with red eyes, huge teeth and green glowing segments or strands across its body. - It was coated or altered by the same green mutagenic substance associated with [[Wilbur Thistlebloom|Wilbur’s]] nearby experiments. - Tracks, residue and empty cages linked the surrounding sewer area to the [[Hidden Alchemical Laboratory Beneath Bastion]], but the party did not conclusively prove that this specific creature escaped from Wilbur’s cages. - It stood between the party and the only apparent route toward fresh air outside Bastion. - Many smaller rats and swarms were also closing behind the party. - Its bite appeared capable of passing on an unknown foul influence; [[Mealla Glynn|Mealla]] was bitten first and resisted it. - Raphius scattered the approaching reinforcements with a burst of divine sunlight. - The creature attempted to flee and was the final rat to die. - Mealla killed it with a precise arrow that sent it backwards into the sinkhole. ## Artwork ![[Lineage of the Veiled Kin/99 - Attachments/Session Artwork/Session 55/Bastion Sewers Mutant Rat.jpg|760]] ## Resolution - Killed in [[Session 56 - The Wendell Ruins]]. - [[Mealla Glynn|Mealla]] delivered the final arrow as the creature attempted to flee, sending it into the sinkhole.
