# Zuri's Pact Parchment Elena recovered a blackened, contract-like parchment from Zuri’s body after the Tescalian mine fight and read it aloud. It said: “As sworn, to each shall our pact be fulfilled or deemed forfeit. Soulbound and unbreakable under His light; Q’ruhm.” Vhail’s Blade reacted with a cold, yearning pull at the name. Elena handled it in this scene, but its later individual custody is unestablished. It is separate from the [[Black Parchment Contract]] later given to Raphius from Vhail’s journal; similar soulbound wording does not make them one document or identical bargains.
