# Floating Wooden Mask
A strange wooden mask encountered in the exhibition room of the [[World of Tarin/02 - Places/02 - Locations/Bardic Circle Mansion|Bardic Circle Mansion]].
## Behaviour
The mask floats out from the collection and begins asking intrusive questions: what answer the party thinks it wants, what they touched, whether they like floors, where they are going, why they want a particular door, who leads them, and who makes decisions.
It blocks [[World of Tarin/01 - People/01 - Player Characters/The Rose of Igoda/Ahkai|Ahkai]] when he tries to pass and warns the party not to go through the door, hinting that it may be harmful. Ahkai opens the door anyway. The mask drifts away murmuring about loneliness.
## Interpretation
The mask may be part of [[World of Tarin/01 - People/02 - Non-Player Characters/Wilhelm Yen|Wilhelm Yen]]’s theatrical puzzle-magic, a warning system, or something more independent. Its focus on leadership, choice and loneliness remains unexplained.
