# Traitor Hands of Nyxthys ## Category Renegade Divine Agents / Recurring Antagonist Network ## Known Facts - [[Elena]] is a loyal **Hand of [[Nyxthys]]**. The party has encountered other Hands who have turned against Nyxthys and are therefore referred to as **Traitor Hands**. - Known encountered Traitor Hands include [[Zuri Kulum]], [[Otsi Darkscale]], and [[Xor]]. - They are individually powerful enough that encounters with them have repeatedly threatened the whole party. - Zuri abducted villagers in [[Bramblewick]] / [[Tescalian]] and sent captives through a grey portal associated with the [[Shadowfell]]. - Otsi continued the wider pattern of disappearances and Shadowfell-linked activity. - Xor operated inside [[Bastion]], where Crown Guard personnel were controlled through brain-like parasites and [[Lord Postar]] was described as useful or compromised. - Zuri, Otsi and Xor each tried to persuade Elena that [[Nyxthys]] lies to her and that she must come to the [[Shadowfell]] to learn the truth. - Their exact relationship to [[Q'ruhm|Q’ruhm]] is important but not completely defined. Q’ruhm has been described as a champion serving a still greater master. - Nyxthys has tasked Elena with opposing or destroying these renegade Hands. - After Session 58, Elena left the main party with [[Jasper]] to begin an infiltration / double-agent plan intended to exploit the Traitor Hands' repeated invitation into the Shadowfell. ## Known Members Encountered - [[Zuri Kulum]] — killed at [[Tescalian]]. - [[Otsi Darkscale]] — defeated by the party. - [[Xor]] — escaped and remains active. ## Connected To - [[Nyxthys]] - [[Elena]] - [[Jasper]] - [[Q'ruhm|Q’ruhm]] - [[Shadowfell]] - [[Shadowfell Leechers]] - [[Investigate Old God Symbols and Traitor Hands]] - [[Elena - Lost Souls, Nyxthys, and Traitor Hands]] ## Open Questions - How many Traitor Hands remain active? - What caused them to turn against Nyxthys? - Who is the greater master above Q’ruhm? - What truth do they believe Nyxthys is hiding? - What awaits Elena if she accepts their invitation to the Shadowfell?
