# The Briny Lantern The Briny Lantern is the inn in [[Harringdon]] to which locals directed the party after the rapids wreck. Guards outside watched them while scrubbing graffiti from nearby walls. The party obtained rooms, drinks and hot water for washing, drying equipment and resting. He called the Devell lord a good man but cautioned against asking about a deceased “son/father”; that wording is ambiguous in the source. Talador’s later account specifically concerns his father’s death. The bartender’s report does not settle the conflicting relationship wording or the death’s cause. The party feared discovery but did not learn how Talador identified them. His later guest Veronica offered to be found at Harringdon’s tavern; Session31does not name it explicitly, so that offer is not proof she meant this inn.
