# Ol Hill Ol Hill is a settlement reached on the eastward route towards Bastion after planned stops at Chadlon and Rodding, close to Fae-touched woods and a laboratory Talador said was nearby. The route account’s earlier unnamed stops are not independently assigned to those planned names. Cottages and simple buildings cluster around a well; damp leaves, woodsmoke and bitter herbs marked the approach. ([[Lineage of the Veiled Kin/01 - Sessions/Session 36 - To Ol' Hill|Session 36]]) ## Illness and accusations Villagers appeared listless and coughed frequently. Talador weakened too, while Raphius and Elena wondered whether illness increased near the lab. Sallis and other residents accused Vivian, their former healer, of cursing or poisoning them after withdrawing weeks earlier. The party decided to hear her before judgement. Her woodland-edge cottage was surrounded by magical forms and a voice told them to go away. Those are reported accusations and observed wards, not proof she caused the illness. ([[Lineage of the Veiled Kin/01 - Sessions/Session 36 - To Ol' Hill|Session 36]]) ## Mealla’s perception Mealla heard many voices and a painful command while listening, then suspected the rot. No direction or source was confirmed. The relationship among this experience, coughing, Vivian and the laboratory requires the next encounter, rather than a single cause being established here. ([[Lineage of the Veiled Kin/01 - Sessions/Session 36 - To Ol' Hill|Session 36]]) ## Vivian’s demonstration and departure In the next encounter the party heard Vivian’s account rather than accepting the village’s accusation. Raphius spoke under Zone of Truth, entered disarmed and used her veil to see a hidden creature on himself; Elena then saw creatures on both of them. Sallis continued accusing her while a mob formed, and Vosandra dispersed obstructing villagers with warning magic. ([[Lineage of the Veiled Kin/01 - Sessions/Session 37 - The Leechers, The Witch and the War Mage|Session 37]]) Vivian’s Black Lotus ritual exposed Leechers on Talador, Raphius and Elena before witnesses. Injuries broke her concentration; the creatures became untargetable again and the village was not cured. Her explanation was vindicated, yet she remained angry and refused to leave. Talador assigned two guards to protect her. He then obtained the [[Finster Quarry]] lead from Sallis and agreed to wait with the carriages for roughly a day while the party investigated. Later hostility remained; no complete social reconciliation or national cure was recorded.
