# Floating Wooden Mask A strange wooden mask encountered in the exhibition room of the [[The Rose of Igoda/08 - Locations/Bardic Circle Mansion|Bardic Circle Mansion]]. ## Behaviour The mask floats out from the collection and begins asking intrusive questions: what answer the party thinks it wants, what they touched, whether they like floors, where they are going, why they want a particular door, who leads them, and who makes decisions. It blocks [[The Rose of Igoda/07 - Characters/07a - Player Characters/Ahkai|Ahkai]] when he tries to pass and warns the party not to go through the door, hinting that it may be harmful. Ahkai opens the door anyway. The mask drifts away murmuring about loneliness. ## Interpretation The mask may be part of [[The Rose of Igoda/07 - Characters/07b - Non-Player Characters/Wilhelm Yen|Wilhelm Yen]]’s theatrical puzzle-magic, a warning system, or something more independent.
