# Spada ## Category [[Elena]]'s Sword / Nyxthys-Empowered Weapon / Runic Focus ## Known Facts - Spada is [[Elena]]'s personal sword and has been in her possession since well before the party reached [[Lavenshire]]. - By [[Session 19 - Party Politics]], Elena had begun scratching and studying runes upon the blade after finding passages in [[The Final Journey]] concerning runic carving. - [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] offered to sharpen Spada in [[Session 20 - A Familiar Face]] and noticed the crude runic work already being added to it. - Elena later sought proper **onglette gravers** so she could carve the runes accurately rather than simply scratch them into the metal. - In [[Session 32 - Into Lavenshire]], [[Nyxthys]] channelled divine power directly through Elena and into Spada. The blade changed into something resembling **black obsidian / black glass**. - After that transformation the sword is repeatedly described as black, keen-edged, sometimes partially translucent under magical light, and associated with faint purple smoke or divine effects. - Spada acts as a focus for several of Elena's Nyxthys-linked rites and combat effects.
