# Current Cosmology Summary
The known divine structure of [[Tarin]] appears to be layered, but several parts remain theory rather than confirmed fact.
## Hidden or higher divine tier
At the highest possible level are the theorised [[The Architects|Architects]], also called the All Gods or the All Beyond. The [[Sol Spire]] uses the phrase [[Deus Absconditus]] for this hidden divine tier.
[[Ko]] is the clearest unresolved exception. Ko is repeatedly connected to this higher structure, but is also tied directly to the [[Ko'vatar|Ko’vatar]] and Old God worship. Ko may be an Architect, an Old God, both, or something else and is therefore kept under [[Unclassified Divine Entities]].
## Old Gods
The [[The Old Gods|Old Gods]] were the principal visible gods of pre-Breaking religion. The original Lore Index distinguishes between [[Major Old Gods]] and [[Lesser Pagan Gods]]. This division has been preserved.
The Old Gods were blamed, hunted and imprisoned during [[The Great Purge]]. Some may remain trapped behind seals such as the [[The Elilim Seal|Elilim Seal]]. [[Myvendra]]’s efforts to free [[Yuvendra]] show that divine imprisonment may still be active, unstable or unfinished.
## Present or New Gods
After [[Lineage of the Veiled Kin/03 - Cosmology & Divine Structure/The Breaking|The Breaking]], the twelve [[Present Gods|New Gods]] emerged or became dominant:
[[Ithis]], [[Orvahn]], [[Nyxthys]], [[Vaelis]], [[Kaegor]], [[Selmara]], [[Malrik]], [[Zareth]], [[Xal'Zyros|Xal’Zyros]], [[Serapha]], [[Lunaera]] and [[Veythar]].
*The World of Tarin* explicitly identifies all twelve as the New Gods. “Present Gods” is used as the folder label to make their current pantheon immediately clear. [[The Brotherhood]] calls them imposters and liars, but that remains the Brotherhood’s claim rather than neutral fact.
## Central unresolved questions
- Were the Old Gods villains, victims, failed protectors or scapegoats?
- Did the Present Gods replace the Old Gods, inherit their roles, or arise independently?
- If the Old Gods were only the public face of religion, what were the Architects truly doing?
- Where does Ko actually belong in the divine hierarchy?
