Approach the bridge and the raging river and fallen tree appears to have taken out the bridge [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] jumps in with [[Elena]] holding on to a rope that was tied around him and plunges into icy cold pitch black water He struggles but [[Elena]] manages to hold on and he manages to swim across as [[Myst]] checks on him the other side [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] and [[Elena]] tie the rope to each side of the bridge and [[Persephone Amoransia Damnari|Persephone]] crosses first She begins to fall but Fae steps across the rest of the way [[Mealla Glynn|Mealla]] goes next and tries to use her belt as a tether, but it snaps and she falls in. [[Persephone Amoransia Damnari|Persephone]] jumps in after her and [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] pulls them both in as she was tied with another rope The rope glowing from where [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] had cast light on it, [[Pipe]] goes next but just wiggles the worm a lot without really going very far [[Pipe]] deftly makes it across [[Elena]] goes last. She unties the rope around the base of the bridge and ties it around herself. She plays with her amulet and prays to [[Nyxthys]] and softly speaks to [[Myst]]. She then terminator style walks along the bottom of the river, holding her breath as she goes under the water. Walking across the river, guided by the glowing rope, she makes it to the other side. [[Mealla Glynn|Mealla]] appears upset and has lost some bees. [[Elena]] comforts her and says not to mourn as her bees will be guided to the beyond. Continued on, wet and bedraggled and made it to the safe house. [[Weirdstone]]. Anti-scrying stone, given to the group. Universal order “[[The Order]]” 200 yrs old Lucia's Neave & [[Gillian Quill]] founders. Studying all things for the betterment of man. Found aetheryte. Things aetheryte linked to the breaking (the craters around [[Tarin]]), from 3030 yrs ago. We are now 3030 PB (post breaking). The order began studying aetheryte and with the right arcane stimulus it enhanced things and they experimented with it, and became the main focus of the order. They discovered that time and space appeared to be the speciality of the material. Finks abilities were a result of these experiments. He can travel through time. He can identify “timetouched”, which we all apparently are. We glowed at him. Percy was the first time touched that he identified. Longevity is a perk of his abilities. Lucius’ partner died of natural causes and he became focussed on the time element of the weave glass. Gillian worked on a device to harness the power. Dubbed “[[The Engine]]”, [[Fink]] brought Percy to the order. Time is branches so anything you change causes a branch. However, timetouched can be fucked with and it sticks in that timeline. So you can have your future changed. Eg. if someone is meant to die and [[Fink]] saves them, their “fate” will mean that they die anyway. Whereas timetouched can change their futures. [[Fink]] is part of the resistance group trying to take down the order, known as the eyes. Percy had the same ability as weave glass. This is a shared feature of all time touched. Weaveglass is running out. Needs time touched. [[Fink]] was sent to find other timetouched. [[Lucius Neeve|Lucius]] turned the order sour and militant. They have found a way to “drain” timetouched and [[Fink]] objects to this. They want us as batteries. [[Lucius Neeve|Lucius]] is hunting for “[[The Engine]]” as Gillian hid it. The order turned on each other, and became divided. Order wants to own the power of aetheryte and find all timetouched and drain them. [[Fink]] gave us up before things got fucked. There are two others he knows of that he has not told the order about. He now wants to help us, as we will be hunted. Percy put up a struggle. [[Lucius Neeve|Lucius]] wants to make sure we can’t put up a fight and wants to manipulate us whilst we are young and powerless. It sounds like [[The Order]] has essentially kidnapped important people to party members (except [[Elena]]) and are holding them hostage in order to blackmail us. Someone called “[[Eli Soothpin|The Bloodhound]]” [[Eli Soothpin]] is hiding at [[Peaks Point]]. He was one of the experiments and can scry with GPS, so could potentially locate party’s family members if they have items from them for him to use. Eli has been hiding at peak point for several years. He is the mayor of this town. The quickest route is to pass through the swamp. The druid who caused the storm is part of their order. Swamp took over farmlands about 50 years ago. Thinks this swamp may be similar to the ailment that affects Mealla’s bees. Vanthar a zoologist helping people shelter from the breaking. Legend. [[Pipe]] is seeking his written works, tomes. Group then gets ready for bed and has some conversation. [[Persephone Amoransia Damnari|Persephone]] has lost her parents. She has a dagger that she discovered was meant to be used in a ritual to end her life. Apparently this was a plot for some time, so she ran away, but now wishes to find her parents Raphius’ commanding officer was possessed by something and in a brief moment of clarity whilst struggling against corruption, commanded [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] to do his duty and kill him. [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] did so, but was then accused of muirder and was exiled and seeks to prove his innocence. [[Mealla Glynn|Mealla]] is seeking a way to rid her land of blight that was overtaking it and is killing her swarms. LEna told everyone that [[The Order]] has not taken anyone special to her as she has nothing left to lose. She does not see how she belongs with this group but felt that there was little choice but to continue on together as it would appear as though they are being hunted. They started their watches, [[Elena|Lena]] got out a tome from her backpack and tried again to read scripture and recit the incantations, but was again frustrated and unsuccessful. [[Myst]] cawed in admonition of this brute force attempt, which [[Elena|Lena]] shrugged at and apologised for. The group was then surrounded by a platoon of guards that attacked the cabin. [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] blessed everyone, [[Elena|Lena]] dove into action and swung her sword. [[Persephone Amoransia Damnari|Persephone]] sneaked out the window and got in some sneak attacks. [[Pipe]] dueled an archer with cries of "You absolute Bandit" and "This is what fingers are made for" [[Mealla Glynn|Mealla]] sniped and picked off several guards with deadly precision. The guard captain dealt a deadly blow to [[Elena]] and she fell to the ground unconscious. She felt like she was back underwater in the river, however purple eyes stared back. [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] brought him back with Lay on hands after combat. ## Session End State > [!success]- Where Things Stand > - She has a dagger that she discovered was meant to be used in a ritual to end her life. > - LEna told everyone that [[The Order]] has not taken anyone special to her as she has nothing left to lose. > - [[Mealla Glynn|Mealla]] sniped and picked off several guards with deadly precision. > - The guard captain dealt a deadly blow to [[Elena]] and she fell to the ground unconscious. > - [[Raphius Sunward|Raphius]] brought him back with Lay on hands after combat.
